Today’s Sunday Snapshot comes from Cam Wears, one half of the duo behind the popular Canadian travel blog TravelingCanucks.com. Having travelled to over 65 countries & territories together in the past 7 years, their life journey has changed since welcoming their baby boy in late 2011. They now write about family travel and share the baby travel tips they learn along the way.
“Surrounded by otherworldly rock formations, colourful canyons, peculiar fairy chimneys and ancient cave cities, Cappadocia is a fairytale land that will surely leave you speechless. The best way to experience this magical landscape is from the basket of a hot air balloon.
As the morning sun begins to rise, the canyons change colour and come to life. If you look in the distance, you can see an ancient cave town consuming the base of the towering castle. The balloons float across the eroded volcanic valley, each taking a turn to dip into the gorge. It’s quite remarkable watching the balloon pilots gracefully weave around one another. There are few places on earth that can compete with the rugged beauty of Cappadocia, amplified by a brilliant sky that is dotted with dozens of colourful balloons.”
This kind of makes me want to soar majestically over an epic landscape in a hot air balloon as soon as possible. What about you?
