Sunday Snapshot: Ipanema Beach

Today’s Sunday Snapshot comes from Colleen of Colleen Brynn Travels, who was born and raised in the Canadian prairies and has been traveling the world and blogging for nearly a decade. Her great loves in this life include Spanish, spicy food, hockey and swimming in cold lakes. Over the years she has been supremely fortunate to call England, Mexico, Spain and Denmark home. Currently she is in her second year of optometry school and plans to travel overseas and to northern Canada to help those in need of vision care. Her biggest dream is to open an eye clinic on Easter Island!

 Ipanema Beach, Rio de Janeiro

“This photo (completely unedited) was taken in Rio de Janeiro, at Ipanema Beach. I traveled to South America by myself in 2010, and before I left, I was constantly warned about how dangerous it is and how careful I would have to be. I was nervous until I arrived. In Brasil, I encountered kind and warm people, dynamic music filling the streets, delicious and unforgettable meals and lots to see and do… not to mention the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.”

Where is your favourite place to watch the sunset?

Would you like to submit a photo to Sunday Snapshot? I’m looking for new submissions! Email me at jessica@waysofwanderers.com if you’d like to see your photo featured.

I don't remember if I had my camera on a special setting or not… I just remember that this was exactly how the sky and sun looked that night. Bright and brilliant and unforgettable!
